Meet Ryan, a slow jogger from Cebu in the Philippines.
“On April 1st 2018 I was overweight at around 125kg and decided to loss weight. That’s me before my slow jogging journey:
At first I did walking for at least an hour a day for 1 month and I changed my diet, reducing the amount of rice and adding more vegetables and fruits. However I quickly got bored with just walking and at the same time I was afraid of running at my weight and getting tired too fast.
That’s when I saw a youtube video on slow jogging and I liked it. It’s a light exercise but great for stamina at the same time. A good start before running and great leg workout too. I started slow jogging 5 times a week for 1 hour and then walking for another hour. I lost 27 kilos so far and I want to lose more. I am now at 98 kilos and I feel lighter already.
I usually jog at Abellana Oval in Cebu City.
I will still continue slow jogging even after I get to my target weight of 78 kilos. I am 5 foot 8 and 35 years old. Slow jogging helps me a lot!”
